Hillcat Softball and Baseball Returns to RSU Radio Airwaves
Ashlie Fauchier and the Hillcats will face Oklahoma Baptist Tuesday afternoon with the games carried on RSU Radio 91.3FM. Claremore, Okla.--The Rogers State baseball and softball teams return to the radio waves just in time for spring and the stretch run of the 2011 regular season.
RSU Radio will carry the majority of the remaining home schedule for both teams on the airwaves of KRSC-FM 91.3. Ryan Bradley, associate athletic director for external relations, returns to anchor the play-by-play duties for the baseball broadcasts while media relations assistant Steve Braun will serve as the voice of the Softball Hillcats.
Six baseball and five softball dates highlight the slate of 18 home dates for the Hillcats, beginning with a Tuesday evening tilt featuring the Softball Cats and Oklahoma Baptist. First pitch is scheduled for 4 p.m. (weather permitting) and the broadcast will begin at approximately 3:55 p.m.
Coach Ron Bradley’s baseball team has posted a 23-4 record through its first 27 games this spring, including a pair of victories over No. 5 Lubbock Christian. The Baseball Cats have the third best winning percentage of all the NAIA this season. The first baseball broadcast is slated for Friday afternoon, March 25 against Northwestern Oklahoma State. First pitch of the nine inning affair is set for 3 p.m.
The Softball Cats are off to a hot start at 22-7 under third-year head coach Mark Dicus. The high-powered RSU offense is among the nation’s best in scoring and home runs. Linsey Curtis returns to the diamond after finishing second in the nation in home runs and currently ranks seventh in the nation with 10 home runs.
