Anderson Named Assistant AD for External Relations
Dave Anderson has been named Assistant AD for External RelationsCLAREMORE, Okla. - Rogers State Athletic Director,
Ryan Bradley, announced the appointment of David Anderson as the Assistant
Athletic Director for External Relations.
“I am
thrilled to have the opportunity to add Dave Anderson to our staff,” said RSU
Director of Athletics Ryan Bradley. “Dave has a passion and vision that aligns
with our overall mission for the Hillcat Athletic programs. He also
brings a wealth of knowledge and experience in athletics fundraising and event
management.”
Anderson replaces Bradley who was named Athletic
Director in June. He comes to the Hill from Dakota State University where he
served as the Athletic Development Officer since 2010. He led the fundraising
initiative for the athletic department and provided oversight for donor
relations. Under his guidance, the department increased total athletic giving
by 106% from 2010 to 2011 by working closely with campaign volunteers, coaches,
and development staff to execute successful strategies for cultivating private
philanthropy.
Preceding his
time at DSU, Anderson worked as a credit manager at Wells Fargo in Plano, Texas
where he utilized sales leads and
referrals to sell customers a variety of financial services.
Anderson served as the Executive Director for the Legends Junior Tour in Dallas,
Texas from October 2007-January 2009. While with the Tour, he managed all their
business operations and assets. He also improved tournament schedule and
customer service which resulted in membership growth of 21% and tournament
registrations by 30%, leading to revenue growth of over $200,000. Anderson also
developed relationships with national sponsors that positively impacted tour
operations.
Prior to working
at the Legends Junior Tour, Anderson
spent over four years as the Director of Junior Golf Operations for the
Northern Texas Section PGA of America in Dallas. He managed the day-to-day operations
of the NTPGA Junior Golf Foundation and oversaw the development, marketing and
implementation of all Junior Golf Foundation programs culminating in a 10% growth
annually in membership registrations and tournament rounds played.
Anderson earned his Bachelor of Business
Administration from Dakota State University in 1997 and received his Master of
Business Administration from Arizona State University in 2003. A native of
Lead, S.D., he was an NAIA student athlete at DSU where he played college
football as an undergrad student.
Anderson will spearhead the Hillcats marketing and
fundraising initiatives. He will also teach one business class per semester for
the RSU School of Business.

join the Rogers State athletics department and the Claremore community,”
Anderson said. “Great things are happening at RSU and the staff is forward
thinking with a passion for Hillcat Athletics. I am looking forward to
contributing to the department and helping in the continued growth of Hillcat
Athletics.”
Anderson and his wife Molly reside in Claremore. The
couple has one son, Brooks (17 months).
