RSU Student-Athletes Earn Bachelor Degrees
Twenty-nine RSU student-athletes received their bachelor's degree.CLAREMORE, Okla. –
Twenty-nine Rogers State University student-athletes received bachelor degrees
at the 2012 commencement ceremony.
The student-athletes participated in the 100th RSU commencement
at the Claremore Expo and were members of the soccer, baseball, basketball,
softball, cross country and golf programs. More than 100 student-athletes have
now earned bachelor’s degrees from RSU since the inception of athletics in
2005.
“The emphasis we as an athletic department put on academics
and graduating is highlighted with the accomplishments these former
student-athletes have accomplished,” said Dr. Brian Andrews, RSU Assistant Athletic
Director for Student Development. “We are very proud of these 29 young men and
women in accomplishing their goal of a bachelor’s degree.”
Former Hillcats graduated with degrees in communication
arts, social science, business administration, sport management, medical/molecular
biology and nursing.
The list of 2012 graduates include six baseball players, six men’s soccer players, five women’s soccer players, four softball players, three women’s basketball players, three men’s basketball players, one women’s golf player and one women’s soccer/cross country player.
