Papa John's Pizza, RSU Hillcats to Raise Funds for Make-A-Wish OklahomaŽ

CLAREMORE, Okla. – The Rogers State Softball team and Papa John’s Pizza Claremore are joining forces to help grant the wish of a Claremore 15 year-old as part of the Hillcats partnership with Make-A-Wish Oklahoma®.

On Saturday, May 19, 20-percent of all sales during the day will go to Make-A-Wish Oklahoma® through the RSU Softball team in honor of Kayla. Papa John’s Pizza Claremore is located at 900 West Will Rogers Blvd., Claremore, OK 74017 and orders can be called in at 918-343-8282.

During the month of April, the Hillcat softball team raised $1,649 dollars to help grant the wish of Kayla, a 15 year-old from Claremore, Okla. Kayla was diagnosed with ALL Leukemia in July of 2010 and wishes to take a trip to Hawaii with her family.

Kayla threw out the first pitch on April 21 prior to the Hillcats facing No. 3-ranked Oklahoma City University at the Hillcat Complex. The RSU athletic department hosted Kayla along with her family and friends at the ballpark that day.

Make-A-Wish Oklahoma® grants the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength, and joy. Since being founded in 1987, the chapter has granted more than 2,000 wishes to eligible Oklahoma children.

The Oklahoma chapter is part of the largest wish-granting organization in the world, with 64 chapters in the United States and its territories, along with affiliates in 36 countries on five continents. Make-A-Wish estimates a positive impact on more than 300,000 individuals each year.
