2012 Hillcat Soccer Schedule Released

CLAREMORE, Okla. – Rogers State head soccer coach Derek Larkin will look to extend his men’s and women’s programs’ streak of 10 win seasons to six, as the 2012 schedule was announced Friday.

Larkin, entering his sixth season at the helm of Hillcat Soccer, will open the 2012 regular season at the newly renovated Soldier Field versus Missouri Baptist on Friday, August 24 with the women’s kickoff set for 6 p.m. before the men’s game gets underway at 8 p.m.

The season opener won’t be the only opportunity to watch the Cats on the new synthetic turf of Soldier Field as RSU will play host on 11 other dates for a total of 21 games on the Claremore campus.

The Hillcat women will once again face NCAA Division I and local foe Oral Roberts in Tulsa on Sunday, August 24 at 7 p.m. Larkin’s women’s squad must be prepared early with four games over a seven day stretch to begin the season.

Sooner Athletic Conference play will begin on Friday, September 28 as the Oklahoma City Stars make their first trek to the newly renovated Soldier Field. RSU will play five home conference games including closing out the season at home for its final three SAC games.

Seven of RSU’s 12 home dates will have start times of 5 p.m. or later. Over the previous five years the Hillcats have compiled a home record of 70-22-9 for a winning percentage of 69-percent.
