Hillcat Golf Set for Fall Swing

CLAREMORE, Okla. – As temperatures linger in the 100s, the Rogers State golf team is set to post numbers much lower this fall as head coach Lynn Blevins released his fall schedule.

The Hillcats will tee it up competitively for the first time this September as the ladies take the course first. RSU will travel to Ft. Worth, Texas for the Hawks Creek Fall Invitational hosted by Northwood University and Texas Wesleyan on September 10-11.

RSU’s men will travel south on the Turner Turnpike to Lincoln Park Golf Course in Oklahoma City for the UC Ferguson Classic hosted by Oklahoma City University, September 17-18. The trip to Oklahoma City is the first of three tournaments for the Hillcat men as the fall slate concludes October 29-30 at the Northwood Fall Shootout at Tangle Ridge Golf Club in Grand Prairie, Texas hosted by Northwood University.

Blevins’ women squad will compete in four tournaments this fall, including two dates in Oklahoma. The fall season rounds out October 29-30 in Glenwood, Ark. at the Henderson State hosted Lady Reddie Invitational at Glenwood Country Club.

Last season the Hillcat women captured the program’s first team titles while the Hillcat men won one tournament but had two individual medalists.
