Collins Capture Men's Soccer Honors

CLAREMORE, Okla. - Rogers State’s Necas Collins is the Sooner Athletic Conference Men’s Soccer Offensive Player of the Week for Sept. 24-30 as announced by the league office Monday.

Collins, a sophomore forward from Kingston, Jamaica, scored goals in each of RSU’s 3-1 wins over Austin College and Oklahoma City. He also contributed two assists against AC and another against the Stars, giving him a part of five of the six Hillcat goals on the week.

Collins has started in eight of his nine appearances this year for the Hillcats totaling five goals and three assists.

Oklahoma Baptist’s Marcus Oliveira is the Defensive Player of the Week. Oliveira, a sophomore goalkeeper from Santos, Brazil, had seven saves in a 1-0 win at John Brown in both school’ conference opener.
