Inger Claims SAC Men's Soccer Honors

SHAWNEE, Okla.- Rogers State men’s soccer player Nathan Inger was named Sooner Athletic Conference Men’s Soccer Defensive Player of the Week for Oct. 15-21 as announced by the conference office on Monday.

 

Inger, a goalkeeper from Lawton, Okla., had four saves in a 2-0 win over John Brown for his third shutout of the season. The senior has made 51 saves on the year, including a season-high seven saves against Mid-America Christian on Oct. 5.

 

Adam Black, a junior forward from Oklahoma City University, was named SAC Offensive Player of the Week. The Liverpool, England native had three goals and an assist in wins over Lubbock Christian and Wayland Baptist. He turned in a hat trick against LCU in a 4-2 win and assisted the only goal in the win over the Pioneers.

 

Rogers State (6-6-3, 2-1-3) returns to the pitch on Tuesday as the Hillcats host SAC foe Oklahoma Baptist at 8 p.m. The game will be streamed live on the Hillcat Network at www.rsuhillcats.com/live.
