About: In his first season on The Hill, Campbell broke the RSU single-season record for runs batted in with 66 RBI. He also tied the single season record for home runs as he blasted 13 on the year. Campbell played in 54 games and started in 51 contests. He rounded out the season with a .342 batting average and a .696 slugging percentage. Campbell transfered to Rogers State after two seasons at the University of West Florida. After tearing his ACL, Cody was held out of action in 2010 due to the injury. As a freshman he hit .229 with 2 home runs and 13 RBI. As a senior in high school, Campbell was named to the all-county, second-team all-Central Florida and second-team all-state teams. He also was named Player of the Year for the all-county squad. His brother, Colton, is a member of the Hillcat baseball team. Cody said he chose RSU because, “RSU has an up and coming baseball program and it was a good fit.”
