About: Williams returns for his senior season after being named to the NAIA All-Tournament Team as he helped lead the
Hillcats to the Quarterfinals. As a junior he was named third team All-SAC after scoring 481 points in 33 games played as
he connected on 41.9 percent of his 3-point attempts. He joined RSU after one season at Ole Miss. He began his college
career at the University of Kentucky playing for coach Billy Gillispie. At Southern Lab, he was a two-time all-state and threetime
all-district player. He once scored 50 points in a high school contest. Williams said he chose RSU because “of the great
people, nice campus and good coaching staff.”
Barkley on Williams: “Donald has two years remaining coming from Ole Miss. I feel he could be one of our better shooters on our team. Two years ago in junior college he shot over 40 percent from the 3-point line. Anytime you can find a guard that can shoot in the forty percent range or higher you try to scoop them up.”
