About: Baker joins the Hillcats from Connors State College. He started his career at Connors in 2007 but took a two-year hiatus after suffering an injury in the fall. After spending a year as a traditional student, Baker walked on at Connors in 2010-11. He earned a scholarship and started for the team in the spring. He led the team on offense during conference play with a .400 batting average and earned second team all-conference honors. He said he chose RSU because “It seems like the team has a bright future and I liked the coaching staff.”
