About: Dougherty joins RSU after a successful prep career with the Coweta Lady Tigers and coach Toby Hummingbird. As a senior, Dougherty was a State Champion in Class 5A. Her junior year she was a member of the state champion 4x800 with a 2:20 split. As a freshman she finished third in the state in cross country in 2008. Dougherty said she chose RSU because of the “small classes, great dorms, good coaches and good atmosphere.”
