CLAREMORE, Okla. – Rogers State baseball (9-1) completed the series sweep of Missouri-St. Louis (2-6) with a 6-5 come from behind victory on Sunday.

After both starters worked scoreless frames to open the game, the Tritons got on the board first with a run in the top of the second. A leadoff homer to left field scored the run.

The Hillcats answered in the home half as
Carson Cheatwood singled through the right side of the infield with two outs and advanced to second on a wild pitch.
Jake Mitchell walked on four pitches. Mitchell and Cheatwood moved into scoring position on a throwing error by the catcher on a failed pickoff attempt.
AJ Folds brought them in with a single through the right side of the infield.

UMSL retook the lead in the top of third with two runs to go back up 3-2. The first run scored on a fielder's choice with the second run scoring on a single to second base.

RSU jumped back in front 4-3 in the bottom of the fourth.
Jhonmy Martinez and Cheatwood earned back-to-back walks with one out. Mitchell moved them into scoring position with a groundout to second. Folds was hit by a pitch to load the bases.
Gavin Mestas drove in Martinez and Cheatwood with a single to left center.

The Tritons responded in the top of the fifth with two runs to take a 5-4 lead. A double to left scored the first run with a sacrifice fly to right scoring the other run.

After both pitching staffs worked the next three innings without giving up a run, the Hillcats took the lead to stay at 6-5 in the home half of the eighth.
Geovanni Blackshaw was hit by pitch and pinch run for by
Major Due who stole second. Martinez earned a full count walk. Cheatwood loaded the bases with a bunt base hit. With one out, Folds brought in Due with a sacrifice fly to center.
Adler Isbell, who pinch ran for Martinez, scored on a throwing error by the catcher for the go ahead run.

Dean Grisham (2-0) earned the win working a hitless eighth inning out of the bullpen with
Octavio Sanchez (4) earning the save in the ninth.
Noah Anderson was also outstanding out of the bullpen, working 2.2 scoreless innings and scattering two hits with three strikeouts. Brady Krile (0-1) suffered his first loss of the season.

The Hillcats will be back in action on Friday, Feb. 24 as they open MIAA play on the road with a trip to Wichita, Kan. to face off against Newman in a three-game series. First pitch on Friday is set for 2 p.m.
