About: Byrd comes to the Hill from Ketchum High School where she was a four-year letter winner on the basketball team helping the team to four district titles. The Ketchum, Okla., native averaged double-digit scoring all four years with the Lady Warriors winning Lucky 7 Conference championships during her junior and senior seasons for Head Coach Sam Fairchild. Byrd and Ketchum reached the Oklahoma Class 2A state quarterfinals in 2013-14 while she earned all-state honors. She was named Offensive Player of the Year as a junior and sophomore and received all-conference recognition four times. Byrd also landed a spot on the 19th Annual Oklahoma Indian All-State team. The daughter of Chris and Kim Byrd, she said she chose RSU because "of its solid academics, and I was very impressed with Coach Cope and the RSU athletic department."
